Lija Kobrisseva

I see purpose in the chaos, and find potential in the stillness.
My name is Lija and I’m a photographer with an inclination toward portraiture of many sorts, one of the main themes including a documentary style to it. Slowing down in life and protesting against capitalism brings me to a different form of vision. Instead of running back home to destress, I now take my time with things, it gives me time to notice the beauty of being.
I’m a moth that is attracted to light, and a a shrimp with its broad colour spectrum (fun fact).
I take pride in my communication skills and building a bond with my subject during the photoshoot to make them more comfortable, and I take pride in blending in to not be seen, to capture intimate moments of people’s lives.
